Why is my DVDRW not working?
I have a Packard Bell Easynote with a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7530B ATA device. It doesn't want to open when Push the button and when I click 'eject' it says device is in use. I tried to update the drivers but it says the device is up to date.
How can I fix this?
yes it does open with a paperclip.
i used the drive before so it can't be defective. i also tried restarting, still not working...haven't tried safe mode yet though.
Does it work in Safe Mode? Can you open it using a paper clip pushed thru the eject hole?

Have you turned your laptop off and then restarted?
The drive might just be defective.
