Need to get over this Phobia?
I have a really bad Phobia of clocks. The ticking freaks me out. But not as bad as pendulum clocks, the ones that chime. It would be okay apart from the fact my mum has just brought a pendulum chime clock for the kitchen and it chimes every quarter of an hour. It scares me so much. If im in the kitchen doing something and it starts chiming i will stop what ever im doing and freeze until it stops. I got so p*ssed off with is before that i actually punched the clock "/ Im a 14 year old girl. Ive had the Phobia since i was about 6 when i went to see Big Ben in London. I really need help on this, i cant walk past a clock tower without nearly crying.
exposure therapy look into it. but if you really want help, you need to see a professional. too often those who try to self-help do it wrong and make their situation worse. so if it is really interfering with your life, you need to see a therapist. and again, don't try it yourself! You may make it worse!
