My power door locks sound like it doesn't have enough power?
My power door locks do not work. There is sound when I press the button but they don't have enough power to actually open the lock. Same thing with my keyless entry. You can tell its connected but just not enough power because the horn is so soft. Also, the button to the power window for the one that rolls down the passenger front window doesn't work but it works for other windows and when rolling it up. Is this related? I found something about the ground chassis being bad. Is this easy to replace myself and how much does it cost? Thanks.
Most likely your lock motor is about burned up. It could also be that one of the rods that run off of it are bound up but that's uncommon. The window motor is definately bad since one direction is totally out. They aren't too bad to replace depending on the vehicle. Some cars have the window motor rivited on. A motor can be around fifty bucks and if you have it done in a shop then you may find anywhere from 150 to 250 dollars.
